Class 10th and 12th marksheets are very important for us as they play very significant role in our life in college admissions, jobs and for other purpose also. 10th certificate can also be used as Date of Birth proof.
Parents and students must ensure this at the time of CBSE registration in LOC that his/her name, father name , mother name is correct with other information.
If you have any mistake in these you may face trouble, but don't worry here is solution. Follows the steps below:
1. In case you find any mistake regarding name, DOB, father name , mother name in your 10th or 12th you have to contact or visit the school to forward your case to CBSE concerned RO.
2. Form to be filled by the candidate and forwarded by the head of school to the concerned authorities
Documents needed for correction in DOB of CBSE class X marksheet: (Below Copies duly attested to be attached)
i) Admission form of class 1st
ii) Admission and withdrawal Register page copy where the entry has been made with respect to candidate at the first school
iii) Transfer Certificate of first school
iv) First Admission form of first school
v) Admission and withdrawal Register page copy where the entry has been made with respect to candidate of the present school
vi) Office copy of list of candidate of class X which is submitted at CBSE office
vii) Roll No & Year in which appeared in Class X

3. Correction in spelling on name/surname:
Correction in spelling on name / surname, father name/surname, mother name/surname can be done in CBSE class 10th and 12th marksheet.
The case is also forwarded by the head of the institution to the concerned CBSE RO.
Document needed for correction in CBSE 10th and 12th marksheet:
i) True copy of admission form duly attested by head of school
ii) True copy of school leaving certificate attested by head of school
iii) Admission and withdrawal Register page copy where the entry has been made with respect to candidate of the present school
4. Change in name/surname:
Application of change in name or surname is made , provided the change admitted by Court of Law and notified in the Govt. Gazette before the publication of the result of candidate.
5. Fees for correction in name , DOB in CBSE class 10th and 12th Marksheet is Rs. 1000/-
After verification of all the documents CBSE will make the respective changes and send the concerned documents to the school. For information you can visit www.cbse.nic.in.
