CLASS X MATHEMATICS STANDARD OR BASIC WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE???

MATHEMATICS STANDARD VS MATHEMATICS BASIC
Most of the CBSE class X students are confused about which one to choose in MATHEMATICS STANDARD  AND MATHEMATICS BASIC. Let us understand Two level examination for mathematics and than choose option accordingly:

INTRODUCTION OF TWO LEVEL OF EXAMINATION IN MATHEMATICS 2020

This year CBSE has announced two levels of Examination in subject MATHEMATICS at AISSE 2020 in CLASS X . 

TWO NAME OF THE EXAMINATION AS :

 1 MATHEMATICS-STANDARD EXAMINATION

 2 MATHEMATICS-BASIC EXAMINATION

 1 MATHEMATICS-STANDARD EXAMINATION: Mathematics Standard will be same as the existing level of examination. Difficulty level will be same as previous year.

2 MATHEMATICS-BASIC EXAMINATION: Mathematics Basic will be the easier level of the examination than the Mathematics Standard.

WHAT WOULD BE THE SYLLABUS FOR BOTH?

Syllabus for both the level of examination remain same. Number of question also remain the same,Mathematics Basic will be the easier level of the examination .


WHAT ABOUT THE INTERNAL ASSESSMENT?
Criteria for Internal Assessment will also remain the same for both the level of examination.

Students has the option of selecting Mathematics Standard or Basic at AISSE X board examination.

WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE???

Students has the option to select one of the two according to their aptitude , ability ,interest and future plans.The STANDARD LEVEL will be meant for the student who will take mathematics as a subject in class 10+1 i e senior  secondary level. (It is meant for Non Medical , Commerce with Mathematics and Arts with Mathematics).If student opting for BASIC LEVEL will not be able to pursue Mathematics as subject in class 10+1.
Students has to choose one of the Mathematics Standard or Mathematics Basic in month of August-September in List of Candidate (LOC) .
